Premier OB/GYN Associates Adds “Premier Services Plus*”
Premier OB/GYN Associates, PLLC now offers “Premier Services Plus*” to qualifying Premier OB/GYN patients. “Premier Services Plus*,” Premier’s new counseling department, will offer Nutrition, Tobacco Cessation, Lactation and Psycho-social counseling, along with expanded Obstetric Patient Education and Healthy Start registration and assessments. These specialized services target obstetric as well as interconceptional patients and will provide various professional counseling at no additional cost to the patient. The goal is to promote healthier habits in women, who when becoming pregnant will produce healthier babies.
“We are always open to new opportunities that will educate and promote healthier lifestyles for our patients,” Dr. Aaron Sudbury stated. “Since I opened my practice in 2004, we have continued to add services that enhance the quality of care as well as being convenient for the patient. Our recent partnering with Healthy Start of Manatee has given us the opportunity to further personalize our patient care by providing additional professional services in office and in a timely manner.”
Premier OB/GYN Associates is the first private physician’s practice in Manatee County to partner with Healthy Start. Premier has always worked with and promoted Healthy Start by incorporating it into their Obstetric Patient Education program. That was how the relationship began. In May of this year, Premier OB/GYN Associates was honored with a plaque of “…appreciation for continued commitment to Healthy Start Moms and Babies.”
Premier OB/GYN Associates’ physicians and administrative staff recently met with Fred Leonard, Executive Director of Manatee’s Healthy Start program and his key staff members. Together, they created a program that meets their common goal: Healthy Moms and Babies. Fred has proven to be an innovator in expanding Healthy Start’s services from initially including all pregnant women to now encompassing Interconceptional patients. He is now proposing that services follow a life course model for all women to include not only during pregnancy, but before, between and beyond pregnancy and is currently seeking funding to make that happen. The goal: Healthy Women and Children at less cost.
